From sketch to
interactive 3D.
Turn any hand-drawn sketch into a glossy 3D object with my shared Weavy workflow: plug in your sketch, hit run, and use the result in layouts, websites and animations.
Free Workflow · Sketch to 3D
This is the actual GLB from the tutorial, straight out of the workflow. Made from a sketch.
Step by step.
01Open the workflow
How to use itCopy the workflow link above and open it in your desktop browser (Weavy boards don't open on mobile). Create a free account at Weavy if you don't have one yet (Weavy is now part of Figma and called Weave, same tool, same login). The link opens my shared node board with everything already connected.
02Swap the sketch & hit run
Your sketch goes inClick the import node at the start, choose add more images and upload your own sketch. A Procreate drawing, a photo of a doodle on paper, an icon, even typography: it all works. Then select the start nodes and hit Run Selected: the whole board renders in one go.
- NanoBanana 2 node: set the resolution to 4K and pick your aspect ratio.
- Rodin 3D V2 node: currently the best model for this kind of glossy icon look.
- Material setting: choose shaded. It bakes the highlights and glossy reflections right into the GLB file, perfect for websites and layouts. PBR is only for relighting in 3D software.
The style prompt is already wired into the board. If you want to reuse the look elsewhere, here it is:
A 3D render solid object recreating the exact geometry of the input sketch, rendered in bright pink colors. Smooth cel-shaded rounded 3D volumes with a glossy plastic finish, bright sharp specular highlights, and deep glossy reflections. Soft, even three-point studio lighting. Crisp edges, infinite depth of field, sharp focus throughout. Floating and centered, isolated on a clean, pure white background, 8k resolution, minimalist commercial product render. no engravings or outlines03Download, remix, animate
Use it everywhereDownload the GLB and use it however you want:
- Interactive websites: embed it as a draggable 3D element, exactly like the hand on this page.
- Layouts: place it on your designs with the compositor node, Photoshop-style layers included.
- GenEffects: type any effect you want (glitch, halftone, riso, 16-bit mosaic) and get an adjustable, even animatable version of your object.
- Animation: in the video I show how I animated the hand for my Instagram reel with Seedance in Runway and After Effects.
Pro TipFor very detailed objects, generate a side view of your 3D image first and feed it to the 3D node as a second image input. And because the board is node-based, editing your sketch and hitting Run Selected regenerates every variation in one go.
